Overview

 

Inspections consist of three parts: Plans, Piping, and Pre-final 

Inspections include up to one hour assistance understanding and completing required forms, typically sufficient. Additional time is billed $100/hr.



Checklist


● Document Checklist 

● Pool plans with details (piping, equipment etc) 

● APSP 7 2013 Suction Avoidance worksheet/flowchart 

● APSP 15 & 7 Compliance Documentation Form, including:

-Pump chart 

-Filter loss chart 

-Drain/skimmer cutsheets 

-Any other equipment cutsheets 

● Piping/pressure test verification 



Plans Inspection 


● Provide complete pool plans, including:  Dimensions, volume, depths 

● Piping diagram 

● System equipment and related documentation, including: pump, filter, heater, suction/return fittings, skimmers. 

● Completed APSP 7 2013 Suction Entrapment Avoidance Worksheet (ANSI 7 Checklist) 

● Completed APSP 15 & 7 Compliance Documentation Form found here. (More info on completing forms below) 

● System TDH and design flow rate. 


Piping Inspection


● Required 25lb/15min pressure test is verified either virtually, or on-site. Piping inspection is not enforced, provided the APSP 15 form is completed and matches site conditions. Photos documenting actual pipe runs and connections should be taken at this time. 



 

Pre-Final Inspection


This is the last inspection before the city final inspection 


● Obtain gauge readings and calculate actual TDH. 

● Use pump curve and actual TDH to determine actual system flow rate. 

● Compare actual system flow rate to SOFA flow rate (SOFA rate must exceed system flow rate).

● Review Third-Party Inspection Checklist and compare with site conditions.
